How Do I Boook a Library Study Room

Booking a study room Process & Policies

Policies & procedures regarding reserving library study spaces at the LESC. The library's goal is to ensure that each student has equal and fair access to study spaces when needed.

Please also be reminded to treat your colleagues with respect, and if any issues occur regarding room reservations, please reach out to student affairs who can further direct you. 

  • To view room bookings, use the Resource Scheduler (see the booking tutorial below).
  • Rooms can be booked up to 7 days in advance.
  • Students may book one 4-hour block of study space at the LESC per week, with start times available at 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 10:00 PM.
  • If a room is not reserved through the Resource Scheduler, it is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Retain a copy of your booking approval for verification purposes; no same-day approvals will be granted.
  • All study space policies regarding food, drinks, and noise, as outlined in the Student Handbook, apply to these spaces.

 

 Available Spaces

  • Flamboyant Rooms: Fourteen (14) small rooms available in mezzanine level above anatomy lab (capacity of 1-2 students each)
    • Flamboyant rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 students per booking. If booking with another student, please add their name to the reservation.  
    • Flamboyant Rooms can be found in the Resource Scheduler and are labeled Flamboyant SR01 through Flamboyant SR14. 
    • Flamboyant study rooms cannot be booked on exam days.  

Group Study Rooms

  • Located in the Library
    • MPLR 314: Minimum 4 /max 6 students
    • MPLR 315: Minimum 3 / max 4 students 
    • Innovation Room: Minimum 4 students/max 6 students 
    • If booking a Group Study Room, you must include the names of the students who will be studying in the room during your 4-hour block using the User List in Resource Scheduler at the time of booking. 
    • If a minimum number of students is not placed on booking and present throughout the time booked, you may forfeit your access to future bookings.

Students who do not adhere to the policies above will have access to booking spaces revoked for the remainder of the semester.

Available Study Spaces

Flamboyant Rooms:
